Description
This is a limited edition print of Welcome Respite by Nicolas Trudigan. The description accompanying the print reads: “It is Christmas 1944 and as P-51 Mustangs from the 339th Fighter Group race overhead, local servicemen take a well earned break in a traditional English pub on the Sussex coast. After first appearing on British roads, the American Willys Jeep soon became a welcome and familiar sight and was also widely used by the British forces, becoming a symbol of transatlantic friendship and united determination to free Europe.”
The outer dimensions of the print are 20″ x 22″. The cream colored area of the print, including the title, description and signature, is 16.5″ x 18.5″. The image itself is 14 9/16″ x 16″. This print has only been on display in-store and has never been framed.
