Description
This is a limited edition print of Heaven Can Wait by Nicolas Trudigan. The description accompanying the print reads: “Heaven Can Wait, the appropriately named B-17 Fortress of the 100th Bomb Group, limps back to its base as Thorpe Abbots on Monday 11 September, 1944. Terribly mauled by fighters of the JG4 during an epic aerial battle over the Czech/German border, which saw the loss of 45 heavy bombers, this B-17 made it home on two engines, surviving to fight another day.”
The outer dimensions of the print are 40.5″ x 23 5/8″. The cream colored area of the print, including the title, description and signature, is 26 5/8″ x 19 1/4″. The image itself is 24″ x 16″. This print has only been on display in-store and has never been framed.
This print is hand signed and numbered by the artist, and is print 154/500. It is also hand signed by Lt. Colonel Henry “Hank” Cervantes, Captain Harry M. Hempy, Staff Sargent Joseph “Joe” Keenan, and Technical Sargent James Mack. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity issued by The Military Gallery.
