From the book cover:
“J. Robert Burnell is a self-described realist in his art and in his life. His hard-earned reality traces back through generations of watermen, to his ancestors who harvested the bays and rivers from New Jersey to Virginia. As celebrity photographer Bill McIntosh put it: ‘Robert Burnell is the equivalent of Andrew Wyeth. What Wyeth painted on land, Burnell painted on the water.” ‘
